Biography

IAN WILLIAMSON BA, MACP.
Ian Williamson trained as a Child and Adolescent Analyst in the 1980’s at the Society of Analytical Psychology after a career working with disturbed and troubled children in a number of settings. He worked in the NHS at several Child and Family Consultation centres before going into private practice full time 15 years ago.
Currently he works full time with children, adolescents and families and also with adults on a non-intensive basis. He also was a part time lecturer in Post Jungian Child Analysis at Essex University and has taught in the UK and abroad. He is co-author of a book on sport and psychoanalysis called ‘Winning at all costs. Sporting gods and their demons’ and is the author of the book ‘We need to talk, a straight talking guide to raising teenagers’. 
He is a Member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists and a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council.
Ian is co-director of the Young Peoples Consultation and Therapy Centre.

When you contact us, please leave your name and telephone number and a time at which you can be reached to discuss you request in confidence. We aim to respond to your call promptly, usually within 24 hours. We will usually invite you in at a time that is convenient for you.

We work from 07.00 – 21.00.
We have limited opening on Saturdays.

We are situated in a historic area of Central London which is well served by public transport.

We accept self-referrals as well as calls from general practitioners, psychiatrists, health care professionals, family lawyers and other professionals.
